Honoring Victims of Gun Violence with Action
We did it! Take a look at the actions members and friends of NCC took to reduce gun violence . . .
- 5 people read articles to educate themselves about the state of gun violence in the U.S. and solutions to the problem
- 4 people spent time acknowledging victims of gun violence by visiting the “Gun Violence Archive”
- 18 contacts (calls, emails and letters) were made with elected officials to let them know we care about reducing gun violence
- 7 donations were made to groups working to reduce gun violence
- In addition, news of our vigil was shared with participants at the SNEUCC, 2 people attended the “Safer Communities Summit”, and news of the UCC Resolution “Affirming Guns to Garden and Other Gun Violence Prevention Ministries” was shared.
In total, 38 actions were taken to reduce gun violence – a good step forward in this important work.
Thanks to all who took the time to “Honor Victims of Gun Violence with Action”!
