Pastor

NCC

October 25, 2017

Dear members and friends of North Congregational Church,

It is with much anticipation, expectation and joy that I can tell you the Interim Pastor Search Committee has completed the work that we started in May of this year. After interviewing candidates, listening to sermons, checking references and communicating with our Regional ministers, we put forth a recommendation to Church Council on Sunday, October 15, 2017. The vote was unanimous to sign a covenant with Rev. John Madsen-Bibeau. His first service will be Sunday, November 5, 2017.

Rev. John has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Divinity from Andover-Newton Theological School, Newton Centre, Massachusetts. He resides in West Hartford with his wife and two daughters. He has extensive experience as an Interim Pastor in the United Church of Christ, spending the last year as interim pastor working with the members of Church of Christ Congregational in Goshen, Connecticut.

Rev. John will lead our weekly Sunday services, provide pastoral care, staff co-ordination and especially be a support for the next search committee seeking a settled pastor. He can help strengthen our ties with our conference.

Please join us Sunday, November 5, 2017 in welcoming Rev. John to North Congregational Church!

Joan Egbertson, Chair, Interim Pastor Search Committee
